The SC/ST Students Cell addresses complaints received from students belonging to the SC
and ST birth categories. The institute maintain an environment where all communities can
participate in academic and research activities without any sort of discrimination with
respect to caste.The SC/ST students cell is responsible for sensitizing the campus
community about the importance of having diversity.
Objectives of SC/ST Cell :
a) To ensure equal opportunities for education of SC/ST Students
b) To facilitate financial support to students from these communities from
governmental agencies and other sources
c) To make the SC/ST Students aware of the various scholarships schemes of the
Central and State Governments.
d) To provide these students with a grievance redressal mechanism in addition to the
regular redressal mechanism
The cell aims to ensure that anti-discrimination laws in the context of race/caste are
followed in letter and in spirit.
ESTABLISHMENT OF CELL
The OBC Cell in the college was established with the purpose to empower the OBC
students. The college takes special interest in facilitating financial support to students from
these communities from government agencies and other sources. The cell is always
engaged to solve the various problems of OBC students.
Objectives of OBC Cell:
● To aware the OBC students regarding various scholarship program of State & Central
Government.
● To council and guide OBC students about various issues and help them to manage
academic activities.
● To resolve problems related to OBC students.
● To circulate State Government and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs.
● To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
● To deal with representations received from Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates
regarding their admission, scholarships and other similar matters in the College.
MINORITY CELL AIM
The aim of the Minority Cell is to empower the minority communities in the College and
assist them in their curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The Cell has been set up to help minority students from the Christian, Muslim, Jain and
other communities achieve holistic development.
Objectives of the cell

agencies and other sources
To make the minority students aware of the various scholarships schemes of the Central
and State Governments.
To provide these students with a grievance redressal mechanism in addition to the regular
redressal mechanism Functions and Activities
To coordinate with other College Cells and Committees such as Placement Cell, Students’
Council, Sports Council, Cultural Council, etc. and ensure that students from minority
communities participate in their activities
To coordinate with Programme Coordinators, Department Heads and the Mentoring
Council to identify students from these communities who need special assistance such as
remedial classes, as well as those who are advanced learners and could be given extra
attention and guidance.
